Machine learning seems horrible to some peoples but it just a technology for a better future. It gives us ability to solve more complex problems. Although it could be dangerous if we use it for destructive purpose just like nuclear energy. But as we know that nuclear energy is capable of powering the world with less pollution is also capable of blowing up the humanity. Thankfully machine learning is not much dangerous to us.   
Machine learning is an application of AI(Artificial Intelligence) it gives capability to computer to learn from experience without being programmed for solving any problem. When computer gets ability to learn from experience then it needed less human interference for solving any problem.
    At this time there are so many places where machine learning is being used in search engine like Google, Bing for preparing more relatable search results and social media platforms Facebook, Instagram for showing stuff of your interest, in virtual assistants like google, alexa, siri.
    But most importantly it can be used for medical fields for finding better cure for many disease.
